Surreptitious!
by Paul on Jan.24, 2010, under Words
I have a secret hidden away
the key is given to one person
I trust this person will find the lock
if not, it will be hidden forever
unless in the distant future
forensic experts find it
but by then I’ll be gone
I’ll be waiting the rest of my life
for that one key and person
We Strive
by Paul on Jan.24, 2010, under Day, Dreams, Life, Wonder
the recognizing of our life
and why we were born
it’s something we ponder
quite a few go through it
not knowing their purpose
we’re distinctly put on earth
for some timeless reason
we’re part of human nature
yet are divinely programmed
on how we treat other lives
and our existence is vital
no matter what we sense
at this or another moment
The Meek Path
by Paul on Jan.22, 2010, under Words

a small feeble lamb walking
shaky knees are trembling
right through the middle of
a ravenous pack of wolves
baring voracious fangs
dripping saliva of death
growling ferociously
he ever so lightly bleats
they don’t attack him
he steps right through
guarded by invisible
shepherd and master
goes on to live and grow
Completing a Passage
by Paul on Jan.21, 2010, under Words
explosion of blinding brightness
after jettisoning a gloomy past
traveling through the wormhole
into the most glorious eternity
extreme paradise overtakes me
beyond the most joyful dream
beautifully born in one complete
being with everything supreme
yes I’ve made it to my all finally
Springtime is Near
by Paul on Jan.20, 2010, under Day, Life, Seasons, Words
sunlight bursting through the clouds
children laughing and playing
buds are emerging into blossoms
birds are chirping and singing
church bells are starting to chime
families bonding together for an outing
softballs pitched slowly to the youngest
dads standing behind them holding arms
checkered linens spread on the ground
ice chests and woven lunch baskets
clear blue sky is taking over the day
life is starting to be born anew
Storms
by Paul on Jan.20, 2010, under Day, Experience, Storms, Wonder, Words

the violent winds are spinning, lives are forever ending
lightning shooting down, thunderheads smashing home
evil gods manipulating man, we try to endure the pain
but sometimes we fail, hopefully to succeed next time

Dehumanization
by Paul on Jan.20, 2010, under Experience, Fate, Life
down in the darkest dungeon
chained to the wall of horror
stone bowl before you
filled with green gruel
non-reachable but close
dehydration sets within
coated tongue protruding
yellow skin and eyes paling
trying to capture and get
the lasting patience of Job
nothing is helping you now
waiting to cross the threshold
Destiny!
by Paul on Jan.19, 2010, under Day, Experience, Fate, Life, Words
Was it meant to be?
Two hearts coming together as one
Or parting forever into opposite extremes
While one was always giving,
the other was always taking
The small likenesses brought them together
The many differences blasted them apart
Similar to a love-hate relationship
Whereby I love you as a person
But I hate the things you do
I guess it wasn’t ordained to exist
Oh, how fate can change things!
The Affirmative of Opposites
by Paul on Jan.16, 2010, under Dreams, Experience, Honesty, Love, Words
childish disparity
child-like similarity
maturity expected
pettiness rejected
optimism thriving
pessimism dying
honesty animate
deceitful dormant
I like to think
we all have
the positive
of each one
Be Not Afraid
by Paul on Jan.14, 2010, under Words
We should always be prepared to die. Some people go through life living to the fullest in complete transgression. These people aren’t ready to meet death, and there aren’t very many people that are. Some are blessed and die instantly, while others have to go through years of pain. At least the people that have to suffer, have a chance to make peace with themselves and their Creator and getting to Heaven quicker. All of us are going to have to go through suffering or purification on either side of the door of death. There is a chance even for the most satanic person to change and come before God, but he may very well be at the end of the line or waiting for a while, since there will be others constantly going to the front, who had lived a purer life. My message to all of you is “Be not afraid!”
